This is my transformational painting of “Asterix in Belgium”. This cover was the 24th volume of the Asterix comic book series. The original artwork was first published in 1979. To create the amazing 3D effect of my style, I reverse paint on multiple layers of optically clear acrylic. This particular painting has 7 layers which gives it a depth of over 1 1/4 inches.
