This is my transformational painting of Action Comics Vol. 1, No. 252 comic cover. The original artwork was first published May 1959 and was also the first appearance of Supergirl. To create the amazing 3D effect of my style, I reverse paint on multiple layers of optically clear acrylic. This particular painting has 7 layers which gives it a depth of over 1 1/4 inches.
